RICHTERSVELD TRANSFRONTIER PARK & KALAHARI KGALAGADI TRANSFRONTIER PARK
If the splendor of the mountain desert in the unique Richtersveld eluded you until now but you still have an interest in geology and archaeology or the rock engravings (petroglyphs) left by the ancestors of the San people, then this is the region to explore. A safari to the Kalahari desert in the North Western Cape and Botswana, where the San are still found, with it's red sand dunes and abundant game species, is a visit never to be forgotten and truly one of the must see wilderness areas of Southern Africa. Visiting both parks on the same trip is also possible - if you have at least 14 days free! These areas are dream destinations for photographers, geologists, botanists, archaeologists and ornithologists - and many other "gists" too!
This can be a camping safari or from chalet to chalet.
